Gutted to hear this, really gutted.
I love Kraftwerk, hearing them for the first time was a musical awakening for me back in 1990. Never heard music like it before or since. My biggest regret in life was not going to see them at a half empty Capital Theatre in Aberdeen back in 1990 when their star was on the wane and it wasn't so cool to like them, although any real music lover knows how great they were.
Very few groups or musicians have ever changed the musical landscape as much as Kraftwerk did and Florian more than played his part in this revolution.
RIP Florian

The man with the ultimate Kraftwerk name and the most recognisable face of the band. I bought Autobahn in 75 but didnt flip over them till I heard RadioActivity on a little transistor listening to the Alan Freeman show later the same year. The four albums from 75-81 are genius and must haves. The German language editions are also worth hearing. They did two sold out nights at the Brixton Academy in 1991 and they were great. RIP

Sorry to hear this. I like 'Autobahn' very much.
R.I.P. Florian Schneider.

RIP, shared the same Birthday as me, always remember that for some reason. . The music is just phenomenal, as mentioned - particularly between 1975 & 1981, so obviously influential - it’s incredible. I bought The Model / Computer Love as a near 11 year old from HMV Exeter on a day trip there, and still remember coming home and playing it to death on my parents record player with Barry The Book!

Sad to hear of the death of Florian Schneider. I remember buying the album Computer World on cassette after hearing the title track used as the theme tune to BBC’s The Computer Programme in the 1980s. I then bought The Man Machine and was blown away of how magical their music was. Electric Cafe and Tour De France were also brilliant and one of my favourites.
