Very much a part of my childhood were The Goodies, seemed normal to us at the time but seeing clips lately I realise they were very anarchic! Wasted on us kids at the time.

Almost in tears today when I heard this news. What a nice guy he was. The Goodies were very much part of our childhood. It’s like that has been taken from us today.

I remember borrowing 'The New Goodies L.P.' from the local library many times. Some great songs on it... Cricklewood Shakedown, Please Let Us Play, I'm a Teapot, Rock with a Policeman and, of course, Funky Gibbon. Great stuff. Always watched The Goodies and I feel it's a shame that they have never really been repeated. My brother left these books in his bedroom when he left home... they're mine now! R.I.P. Tim.

This is one of those that hits home. I've been lucky enough to see him interviewed a few times and he seemed a genuinely nice guy. He knew his limitations as a writer so concentrated on performing, but even then was partly responsible for the Four Yorkshiremen sketch that is wrongly attributed to the Pythons. The obits will no doubt concentrate on the Goodies and ISIHAC but he was a mainstay of British comedy for decades. John Cleese adored working with him. He'll be missed.

Sad news indeed. When I think of The Goodies, I always remember their take of 'Jack and the Beanstalk' with massive goose eggs landing on them.
RIP.

Fondly remembered from The Goodies. Always enjoyed his appearances on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue as well.
Dreadful news.

I had the "Making of the Goodies Disaster Movie" book when I was a kid. The Goodies were mandatory watching for us when we were young.
RIP Tim

Never really watched the goodies but always enjoyed his radio appearances In the 80s, whenThe Goodies were on, we watched and we laughed and laughed. This was an extremely funny show, especially when I was a kid.

R.I.P. Tim Brooke Taylor. Didn't realise he was as old as he was.
'The Goodies' was a great watch in childhood.

Some episodes of The Goodies were sold to America and I liked what I saw. Rest In Peace.

He was also in "Me and My Girl" with Richard O'Sullivan. I think he was also in the "At Last The 1948 Show" version of the "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch that was later made famous by Monty Python.

Also in You Must be the Husband with Diane Keen. Probably not the best use of either of their talents.

Sad news and another loss from our formative years. Talented comedy performer and a good(ie) guy.
