American actor Stuart Whitman passed away at the age of 92 on March 16th. He had a long list of movie and TV credits in all sorts genres as well as major Hollywood films and low budget efforts. He received an Oscar nomination for his role in the 1961 film The Mark. Very capable actor both in leading and supporting roles.
Rest In Peace

Stuart Whitman was brilliant. I don’t hunt down his filmography but if I see a film and he’s in it, I’ll try and watch it for something I named ‘The Stuart Whitman Enigma’.
To this day I have never been able to tell if he’s a terrible actor, or a really good one, and I mean that with full respect.
Just watch his performances, they are utterly bizarre. He just flips from being absolutely perfect, to seemingly acting in a different film to the rest of the cast.
Keep blazing that Magnum Stu, RIP.
