Max Von Sydow was a terrific presence in any film.
RIP Max.

His neo-Nazi in The Quiller Memorandum was another good villainous role - could easily have been a caricature but he played it with urbane menace, all the more disquieting for his superficially reasonable demeanour.
Brought a touch of class as the Chief Judge in the generally disappointing Stallone version of Judge Dredd.

Late movies like being in the Minority Report of the character, the Director Lamar Burgess of Pre-Crime? How Tom Cruise's character goes after him. Very formidable. I barely remember him in Rush Hour 3 despite it being a formidable film at the time.
RIP Max Von Sydow

I remember him best as the assassin, Joubert, in Three Days Of The Condor. Same here, Joubert had a heart of stone and no emotion. RIP.
