A great actor, remembered for Witchfinder General and Psycomania and, of course, Fawlty Towers, among other things. I remember seeing him in a play called Season's Greetings, which I thought was good.

That's a shame, I always thought him a decent actor.
RIP Nicky.

Oh that's a shame, I thought he was really good and I didn't realise he was so ill. Very sad news.

I hope they put him upright on his motorbike when they bury him. That way he’s guaranteed to roar out of the ground as one of The Living Dead. You’ve just got to believe..
A welcome addition to any production.
RIP Nicky.

Interestingly, Nicky apparently had a 'three year contract to write songs for The Shadows and Cliff Richard'. I can't find any reference to any such songs, but he could, of course, have written under a pseudonym (even the Shads themselves did this on occasion). The musical side of his career is, I'll admit, something that had escaped me. www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2019/dec/16/fawlty-towers-actor-nicky-henson-dies-at-74Here is a single that Nicky wrote and recorded with Paul Ferris. The song was published by Shadamm Music (which was a company formed by the Shadows and song-writers Arnold, Martin, Morrow). www.45cat.com/record/db7935

Paul Ferris from 'The Baron'. I was assuming the Paul Ferris who wrote the music for Witchfinder General and Maroc 7 and who very briefly played bass for the Shadows circa 1970.

He was in 'The Baron' for 8 of the earlier episodes filmed in 1965 until his character David Marlowe was deemed surplus to requirements.

Didn't know about this until I saw it here Sorry to hear he has died; I particularly remember him in the cult films like 'Witchfinder General' (1968) and 'Psychomania' (1971) - the former was brilliant, the latter was "a period piece" but Nicky was good in both. He seemed to have a distinctive voice/accent, not so much cockney but perhaps 'Home Counties working class'. R.I.P. Nicky Henson.

I didn't realise that Nicky was uncle to that rather irritating "Farmer Giles" Adam Henson on 'Countryfile'. Adam's alright I think. I've been to his farm in the Cotswolds he opened it up to the public, he rents most of the land doesn't own it, and with his father (Nicky's brother) they've done a lot to protect rare old British breeds.

Sad to see that Nicky Henson had passed away on 15th December 2019 aged 74. He was top funny as 'Albert Stubbs' then George Wilson in Bury My Half at Waltham Green. I think he would've been a good 'Terry' if Dennis Waterman didn't take the role. RIP Nicky.

I only really seem to pop up here when an actor dies, or I discover they have! Just watching Bury My Half at Waltham Green and think Nicky Henson is awesome in this. I then tend to hit google to see what they are up to and sadly Nicky passed away last month from cancer, a fight he has since 2003. He did a lot of TV and films such as Fawlty Towers, Minder, Boon, A Touch of Frost, Heartbeat, After You've Gone, Lovejoy and Doctors.

He looks younger in that screengrab than he did in 'Psychomania'.

I think it’s time I rewatched ‘No.1 of the Secret Service’ (1977). Nicky Henson as Charles Bind. Good fun, probably my favourite Shonteff Bond spoof.
Surprised Pertwee wasn’t in the trailer, I know he’s only got a cameo role but you’d have thought they’d have still shown him.
