The 'Emmerdale Farm' actress has died aged 100. She played Annie Sugden from the show's start in 1972 until 1994. she made a guest appearances up until 2009. She made an incredible 1338 episodes of the long running soap.
Her acting career started in 1939. To reach 100 is one hell of an innings.
Her brother was the actor Brian Rix.
RIP

Had no idea she was still alive all this time and never knew she was Brian Rix's brother. Remarkable age.

100 is a good innings and had no idea she was still with us.
I remember her from Emmerdale when it was a rural soap shown at teatime when my Mum used to watch it.
RIP Sheila

Aww more sad news. I thought Emmerdale Farm was brilliant when it first started and watched it avidly for a couple of years.
