(1949 - 2019) A legend in the game. Who can forget the Headingley Test of 1981? Great commentator as well.
RIP

I’ll never forget that 1981 series and was lucky enough to be at the Old Trafford test for a day.
RIP.

They just had a tribute to Bob on the BBC 6 O' Clock News. They mentioned his love of Bob Dylan and that he had added Dylan as a middle name. He was seen posing with the superb LP 'Blonde on Blonde'. It was great to hear the late, great Richie Benaud commentating on the 1981 Headlingley Test.

Another part of my childhood gone as I remember watching the 1981 Ashes series especially the Headingley Test with Bob tearing into the Australian batsmen.
RIP Bob

I was sad to read this today. I grew up in the 1980s when Botham and Willis were household names. And cricket was on terrestrial TV. RIP Bob.

The good old days of Jim Laker and Richie Benaud commentating. "Good morning Jim, good morning everyone".

Great bowler and great TV analyst. Knew his stuff on and off the field. Will miss his scathing comments on English players.
RIP Bob, a man who cared.
