Very, very sad to learn that David Hedison has died.
I am in the process of watching Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (series 3) at the moment on DVD. The first Bond film I ever saw was Live and Let Die, with David as Felix Leiter, and the very first horror film I ever saw, on TV (circa 1975), was The Fly.
So many great memories. RIP.

Sad news indeed. A dependable presence on screen. The last of the main cast of VTBOTS TV series to pass away.
92 was a good age.
RIP

Sad news indeed. He was also friends with Roger Moore for several decades. Rest In Peace Mr.Hedison. Thank you for all the entertainment.

Yes, he appeared in 'The Saint' TV Series plus three feature films with Roger Moore: 'Live & Let Die', North Sea Hijack' and 'The Naked Face'.

I didn't realise that David was the father-in-law of the actress Jodie Foster. His daughter Alexandra (born 1969) married Foster in 2014.

I did see his version of ‘The Fly’ a while back. Showed you can make a decent horror movie without being overtly gory and bloody (to be fair, it was the 1950’s). I remember he was in an episode of the A-Team, getting dangled out of a high hotel window by Mr T! He was a great Felix Leiter, I’d say he’s better than Jeffrey Wright who is going to break his record and appeared a third time in Bond 25. You believed he was a close personal friend of Bond, even with Timothy Dalton who was a significantly younger Bond than Roger Moore. I wonder why Felix didn’t appear more in the Roger Moore films apart from Live and Let Die? Maybe Bond wasn’t visiting the USA much in the Moore era, so the CIA were a bit more redundant.
