I worked with a few Spurs fans a few years back and they used to speak about this guy as some sort of god, football fans don't usually christen players with titles such as 'King of the Lane' to just any old mug with a pair of boots, so he must have been very good.
He also did very well for Dundee at the start of his career winning a league winners medal and getting to the semi finals of the European Cup.
I read a book about him a couple of years back which was very good, the book waa written as he sort of went off the radar for years and lots of people were wondering what happened to him and he was surprised to hear people still held him in such high regard all these years after he finished playing.
