www.metv.com/stories/rip-richard-hatch-the-battlestar-galactica-star-dies-at-age-71The original Captain Apollo has made his last ever flight into the unknown . I remember watching Battlestar Galactica as a kid back in the 1980s when ITV used to show it on Sunday afternoons. It was also interesting seeing The A-Team's Face in it as well. Richard Hatch was also Michael Douglas' replacement in The Streets Of San Francisco.

To me, he will always be Captain Apollo. I also remember seeing him once play a psycho villain in TJ Hooker back in the '80s.

I didn't watch 'Battlestar Galactica'. I mainly remember him in the final season of 'The Streets of San Francisco'.
RIP Richard Hatch.

Very sad to read this the other day. The obit on the BBC News site never even bothered to mention he co-starred in 'The Streets of San Francisco'.
RIP.

I always thought he should have guest starred on The A-Team. It would have been great seeing a Starbuck/Apollo reunion. Perhaps Richard could have been cast as another con artist like Face or a long-lost Vietnam buddy who wasn't part of Hannibal's crew.

The obit on the BBC News site never even bothered to mention he co-starred in 'The Streets of San Francisco'. Michael Douglas has also overlooked this show, when he has been interviewed. I don't know why, it was a great show. Of its time, no doubt, but so was 'The Sweeney'.

Yes, when I was around 10 or 11, TSOSF was a really big show on ITV. Apart from BG it was easily Richard Hatch's biggest moment.
I also remember Richard playing Jan Berry in the 1978 Jan & Dean TV Movie biopic 'Dead Man's Curve'. He was very good as the troubled Jan Berry in that.
