Tom Wopat for me. A family I stayed with in Atlanta in 1980, their STUNNING daughter, Cathy was engaged to him and later married him. FF 30+ years, still married. I never met him, but he gets MY vote. From what they told me, an absolute gentleman, very grounded.

Bo for me! Though Luke (I think) was the better archer. I really need to invest in some Dukes. Bo also has cool sideburns tying him to the 70s. With Vance bowing out a few years ago, I have just taken a look at who else was still around: Tom Wopat (65) Luke John Schnider (56) Bo Catherine Bach (62) Daisy Denver Pyle (died 1997) Uncle Jessie Rick Hurst (70) Cletus Sonny Shroyer (81) Enos Ben Jones (75) Cooter James Best (died 2015) Sheriff Coltrane Sorrell Booke (died 1994) Boss Hogg Waylon Jennings (died 2002) The Balladeer Byron Cherry (61) Coy Duke Peggy Rea (died 2011) Lulu Hogg Coy and Vance were given the same scripts meant for Bo and Luke. No revisions were made, no attempts to make Coy and Vance stand out as unique characters were tried. No wonder Tom Wopat refers to them as "the clones". He is correct. Cherry and Mayer didn't have a prayer. Viewing figures plummeted and Schneider and Wopat were asked back. The episode which saw the departure of Coy and Vance was a joke and the writers couldn't wait to see the back of them. They were written out before the first ad break!

I felt sorry for the actors who played Coy and Vance as they were in a no-win situation as they were always going to be compared unfavourably to Bo and Luke.
It was similar to the 2nd series when there were guest sheriffs instead of Rosco as James Best was on strike over disagreements with the producers.

Did Bo usually always drive the General Lee ? I think so, so he gets my vote.

That's mighty neighbourly of you. (Duke talk is catchy) My vote stays as it is.

Luke has been a bad boy, having been arrested for 'inappropriate touching of a female cast member' and possessing some drugs: www.BBC.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40819816Hopefully there was a spectacular car chase before he was arrested.
