Morley to Dave in The Winchester "What about other women? Did you ever see Arthur with another woman?" " I never saw Arthur with his wife let alone another woman" replies Dave.

I really enjoyed this one. Two good story strands with the disappearance of Her Indoors and the flag. George was on top form here, as though he knew that it was going to be ok without Dennis. I thought this episode did a good job of reproducing one of the best aspects of the Waterman epsisodes i.e. having more than one thing going on at the same time. Also as others have said some classic Athurisms. Nicholas Day I think comes into his own as Morley in this episode. He's not as rabid as Chisholm or Rycott and is superficially more reasonable, but flashes that disturbing grin from time to time that makes him look like a particularly predatory shark.

If someone who hasn"t seen this episode were to ask Arthur beforehand what it"s like, no doubt the great man would reply " Top of the range my son"! Scores an excellent from me.

I'm sorry to have to disagree with the several positive vibes from folks here. Although there were indeed a lot of excellent lines, I found the whole thing just seemed to be wandering along plot-wise. I mean yes it got there in the end, but so what? Just a string of scenes with some clever banter. Maybe it's me having a bad evening but definitely scores an average from me.

Watched this one last night. The Gary Webster series is continuing to deliver and he's proving to be a strong substitute for Dennis Waterman, mainly by not trying to be Dennis Waterman. Morley, too, is winning me over.
An Excellent, this one. Clever script and always good to see Kevin McNally.
