No, but it can be found on the Minder: Specials - Volume 1 Of 2 you can get that used copies around on amazon and ebay for about £6-12 and it has better resolution than the versions floating around on the net which seem to be tv rips I picked one up ..just in case it was ever taken off streaming sites like Britbox etc .. (you never know thesedays ) I would look on ebay before Amazon as their listings have a more accurate system Its certainly in my top 5 Probably with "why pay tax" " Bengal Tiger" "Bury my half at waltham green" and "what makes shamy run" If a DVD title is called 'The Dennis Waterman Years' then it should have been included booooo, they should have called it 'The Dennis Waterman Years but without the Christmas Specials' box set. Was it some rights issue or something else to not include the specials? I suspect it was because Fremantle couldn't be bothered to re-author the discs from how there were first released. Then when Network released the series they couldn't be bothered either.

Just finished watching it this afternoon on ITV4. I noticed that Tasty said in the Winchester in his meet with Arthur, that 'Fred and Ted are partners', Dave chipped in with 'They seem like a nice couple'.. I had them down as just oppo's but perhaps Tony was suggesting a bit more than that in his script. In any case by '84 Arthur would have been a bit more enlightened within the dojo of homo-erotica, after his Adventures at his mates Kensington antique dealers a few years earlier.
Good solid episode. What a Television series, It's in my blood. It's like family. God bless 'em all.

Ah, hearing the dulcet tones of Graham Dene on Capital Radio at the start of the episode. Memories of getting ready for school in the morning back in the day...

'Speiler' is a great word. Thanks VAT but I'd still love to know if this was a 'real life' drinking den or not. Spieler ("i" before "e" in correct spelling but I notice the script gets it wrong and I also get it wrong regularly!) is of course from the German "spielen" which means "to play". "der Spieler" is anything from this list: dict.leo.org/deutsch-englisch/spieler.html
I must say I haven't heard it much in English to be honest but just checked my Oxford English Dictionary and it is in there as a gambling club. Clearly I don't spend enough time in the spieler then!

Yeah "spiel" tends to be a Yiddish word for gambling.
