TC off original Magnum P.I. has died aged 83 following a car accident. Very sad, loved him in Magnum P.I. He also appeared in many other shows such as Kojak, Starsky & Hutch, Rockford Files, Streets of San Francisco, The Rookies and load of US 70s shows. RIP TC Island Hoppers Forever

He also appears famously in the film The Greatest (1977), playing the part of Sonny Liston up against Muhammad Ali playing himself. I always found TC by far the most likeable and interesting character in Magnum - in real life Mosley was a fully qualified helicopter pilot, though not insured to fly during filming, so that was done by a stuntman.
Very sad to hear this, particularly the traffic accident that left him paralysed for his final days. It seems Roger died the same day as Olivia Newton-John, explaining perhaps why it hasn’t been reported so widely.
A favourite character and actor from my childhood.
RIP Roger.

I first heard about this on Jean Bruce Scott's Archive Facebook page a while back as she knew Roger from when she was a frequent guest star on Magnum. His character on Magnum came across to me as more believable that most of the other regulars. RIP Roger

He also shows up in new Magnum PI too. I very much hope they dedicate the first episode of season 5 to him, totally deserves it as has been mentioned, a very convincing performance as TC who I always thought was very cool with that helicopter.

There seems to have been a slew of actors killed in car smashes recently, notably Anne Heche and Mosley. Very sad.

TC was a good character. I saw this sad news a few days ago and thought about starting a thread. I read somewhere that he was quite choosey about his roles and what his characters did because he didn’t want them being bad role models for black kids. Which of course could be nonsense but it’s what I read.
RIP Roger.

He really added to any scene he was in for Magnum PI. Catching some reruns on ITV4 Monday-Friday at the moment. TC was much put upon by Thomas, and wasn't shy about letting him know it, and looking at the show again I mostly side with TC.
RIP Roger E./TC, take that whirlybird all the way to Heaven.
