The greatest and most influential song writers of the 1960s were Dylan, Lennon & McCartney, Bacharach & David and Holland/Dozier/Holland. I am surprised that Lamont Dozier’s death has been largely unmentioned in the mainstream media. He was a musical genius and HDH were the most prolific hit makers for half of the 1960s - from 1963 to 1967. A glance at the credits of a Supremes, Four Tops or Martha Reeves & The Vandellas compilation shows the volume of classics they wrote and produced - it is staggering. RIP Lamont Dozier.

I always guessed he would have been a lot older than he was, he must have been only in his 20's when he co wrote all those hits in the 60's.

Been listening to a lot of early Motorhead recently, and Leaving Here is pure class.
