Jesus, that’s no age to die. 50! RIP Taylor.

I like the first two Foo Fighters albums and saw them live a couple of times. The second time Roger Taylor of Queen joined them on drums for an encore. The temporarily displaced Mr Hawkins promptly strapped on a guitar and played along. What a trouper, and a talented chap.

Shocking, horrible news. An amazing drummer and by all accounts a really lovely guy. I have all the albums except the last couple and finally got to see them live in Paris in 2017. Always looked forward to Taylor's couple of lead vocals in the set, either 'Cold Day' or latterly 'Sunday Rain' plus usually a Queen cover where he did his Freddie Mercury impersonation. Can't believe he's gone . Thoughts of course to his wife, kids, bandmates and friends. RIP

Shocking, especially for us of a similar age to Taylor. Have only ever seen the Foos on TV, however it's always struck me the sheer amount of physical exertion Taylor and Dave G exhibit on stage and in interviews. Obviously we won't know what happened until it's officially released but it must have been so hard on a mature body playing at the level of intensity that they do/did, especially on blood pressure and the cardiac system. I always thought Grohl in particular pushes himself too hard for a man his (our) age. It must be so physically and emotionally draining and must take it's toll over time. RIP Taylor.

Sad news. He had a concert that night and was supposed to perform in Boston in May. I believe he joined the group during their 3rd album, which started a string of Grammy winning albums. RIP

So young, we wouldn't have the 90s, without him. RIP Taylor
