Another familiar face although the name may not be well known - he appeared as Jake Jenkins in The Sweeney episode ‘Faces’, as Hymer in The Professionals episode ‘Look After Annie’ and most memorably for me, as Lomax in Take-Over - one of the best Tara King episodes of The Avengers. He also appeared in The Spy Who Loved Me, The Eagle Has Landed and Shoestring. He sadly died of Covid in December but his passing has only just been announced.
RIP.

Fairly busy career in the 70s and 80s. Did he move to America?

He was certainly in Jake And The Fatman and I had it in the back of my mind that he moved over there, but can’t say for certain.

Was in loads of stuff in the 60s and 70s. I watched him in Spring and Port Wine just before Xmas and was in an episode of Randall & Hopkirk too.
Not too many credits for him after the 80s, which seemed to have happened to lots of actors whose faces appear regular on the shows we write about on the forum.
RIP

That's a pity as I always thought he was an interesting actor with a good presence and voice. I particularly liked him in the "Sleepers" episode of The New Avengers.
RIP Sir

Also very good in The Sweeney episode 'Faces', alongside the excellent Colin Welland.
In fact, I'd say everyone who plays a part in that episode is on top form - possibly my favourite Sweeney episode of all.

I watched him in Spring and Port Wine That was the first thing I saw him in I think. We watched the film in my English class at school after reading the book. After that I started to pick him out in TV productions. RIP.
