Sad news that legendary extra and stand-in Harry Fielder has died at the age of 80. He appeared in many of our favourite shows including Minder, The Sweeney, The Professionals, Man In A Suitcase and was a regular stand-in for Mike Pratt on Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased).
RIP.

An original member of this forum back in the day, Aitch was a real likeable character.
I am very sad he has left us. He had an amazing job and did a lot of cool things. I have his book here and will give it another read very soon.
RIP Aitch, we'll all miss you.

Seemed like a nice guy used to look at another forum which for the life of me can’t remember but he would put up a lot of interesting posts. RIP

RIP 'aitch'. Sad to hear it.
Always seemed a good guy with a real enthusiasm for the tv and film industry he worked in for decades. He always loved to get a 'smudge' to identify who or what was going on in a scene.

Seemed like a nice guy used to look at another forum which for the life of me can’t remember but he would put up a lot of interesting posts. RIP Could be the old Britmovie forum? He was often on there around ten years ago before it changed hands and moved server. He was also on Roobarb’s and The Mausoleum Club. I was last in contact with him just under a year ago when I spotted him in the first episode of Fox, which he was pleased to hear about as it was one he’d forgotten.

Always remember that episode of Minder when him and Eric Kent are abusing the Winchester's one armed bandit, much to Arthur's chagrin. He remonstrates with them but they make it quite clear they don't give a toss. A pleasure to spot him in any production - think he was one of the imperial death squad personnel who get blasted in Star Wars during the Death Star rescue?
The other thing I recall him in is yuppy crime series The Fear where he's the hitman who kills the wrong bloke and he's wearing a really mad pair of sunglasses, and I think, a syrup. Totally unrecognisable anyway.

Sad news. His face appears in loads of stuff. I used to love reading his stories in some forum I was on many years ago.

Sad news, another character gone.
I had some interaction with 'aitch on another forum and it was great to get some insight into the programmes we all love from someone who was there and played a part.
RIP.

RIP Aitch, always a pleasure to see you in the crowd, you were the ultimate professional and you made the cast and crews job easier, as we all knew you would get it right.

I am very sorry to hear this - I didn't know until I saw it here. Harry was present on several internet platforms over a number of years. He also told his story of his time on film & TV work via his own website, which is where I first came across him. I did meet him on a locations day organised on a previous forum, and as part of this he journeyed in my car for some of the day. A genial man - R.I.P. Harry Fielder.

I notice that Harry also appeared as an extra in an episode of 'Prospects', as one of the geezers who does a runner from the Chinese restaurant in 'Follow The Yellow Brick Lane'.
RIP, Harry.
