Very sad news. Christopher Plummer, appeared in some of my favourite films - Battle of Britain (1969), The Return of the Pink Panther (1975) and Murder by Decree (1979). Christopher Plummer, also appeared in Night Flight, a 2 part Drama (which was set in 1943, and the present day), first shown on BBC1, in 2002, I started a Thread, for Night Flight, in the Film & TV section, of this forum - minder.proboards.com/thread/4046/night-flight-2002 www.BBC.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-55954950R.I.P. Christopher Plummer.

Quality actor, stellar career - plus enlivened Star Trek VI no end with his Shakespeare loving Klingon general.

Sad news.
I watched 'Silent Partner' a couple of weeks ago in which he starred alongside Elliot Gould and thought that he gave a very good performance.
Plummer could be suave, super cool and portray someone from the upper classes as he did in 'Return of the Pink Panther' but he could also be a chilling and frightening character that could make you feel a little uncomfortable which is how he played it in 'Silent Partner'.
RIP.

A few years ago when I met Martin Landau he had just done a film about Holocaust survivors with Christopher Plummer. He spoke highly of Plummer and it wasn’t just the expected plaudits, he genuinely liked and respected him.
I always liked Plummer’s role in Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country. His performance is big, at times close to going over top, but it works extremely well and his character never looses credibility. Plummer also narrated the Teaser Trailer for the film.
Rest In Peace

He plays it like his character Chang is Shatner/Kirk's mirror image, Shakespearean flourishes and all. They complement each other very well. Wasn't surprised to learn the two of them were good friends in real life.
