Former American Football player and actor Mike Henry passed away in January but his family released the news today. He had been suffering from Parkinson’s Disease and other health problems for several years. Henry retired from Football when he was cast as Tarzan and played the character in three films in the 1960s. He is also known for playing Jackie Gleason’s moronic son in the movie Smokey and the Bandit. Henry also appeared in the movies The Green Berets, Soylent Green, Rio Lobo, Skyjacked and The Longest Yard and various TV shows. He stated his acting career with small parts while playing for the Los Angeles Rams. He also played football for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Rest In Peace I remember him from Smokey, didn't know anything else about him, If he played NFL in that time period, it probably affected his health, though given how hard it must have been back then he maybe did well to make it this far.
