Actor and impressionist probably most famous for 'Spitting Image' and 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' and other panel shows. Quite a big name in the 1980s and 90s and I enjoyed his surreal series of shorts 'Stella Street' with Phil Cornwell about a normal street where every house was occupied by a huge celebrity.
Seems he died suddenly of a heart attack age 67 - no age these days.

I enjoyed his surreal series of shorts 'Stella Street' with Phil Cornwell about a normal street where every house was occupied by a huge celebrity. I loved the first couple of series of Stella Street - he was even more like Joe Pesci than the real thing. No mean actor in dramatic roles either.

I really rated him, a very funny guy and more than capable actor.
On realised recently that he was a Scotsman.
RIP John

Yeah John Sessions seemed like a really funny bloke what I saw of him. Stella Street was amusing in places.
RIP John.

A very talented and funny man who was never conventional. He really should have been Doctor Who. Here’s his audition for the role from 1994:
RIP.

Was reading on another forum that he was very active in his local community, helping with charity events, hosting pub-quizzes and volunteering at the library. Seems like a top bloke all round.

Was surprised to hear this news.
I liked, 'Whose Line Is It Anyway', I used to look forward to watching it.
A young age to go, RIP.

Was he one of the impressionists on 'Steve Wright In the Afternoon' on Radio One c. late 80s-early 90s? I know that Phil Cornwell was.
I enjoyed the celebrity impressions, very witty and realistic.
R.I.P. John Sessions.
