Blimey... another one that I thought would live forever. I suppose, as 007, he will. Often imitated, never bettered. Of course he did many, many other things apart from play Bond, but, inevitably, this is what he'll be remembered for. The iconic Bond and one of the icons of the Swinging Sixties. 'Goodbye, Mr Bond'.

One of the greatest Scots to have ever lived. He never forgot his routes in fountainbridge in Edinburgh.

Rest In Peace. Thank you for all the entertainment Mr. Connery:
He was letter perfect as Indiana Jones’ father. It’s too bad he only got to play the role once.

Connery was one of those actors who have been around for years but seemed ageless I watched him in hell drivers from the fifties and the offence from the seventies just this week.

A true Scottish screen legend. Gone. Probably my favourite Connery film is The Man Who Would Be King but he made a few cracking films.
I think I might watch that tonight now.
RIP Mr Connery.

Always seemed like a proper bloke. I’m not a Bond fan but enjoyed many of the other films he was in, including him being able to carry off starring in a western in the ‘60s, Shalako.
A sad moment but he has a fine body of work in which he will live on.

Lived 'til 90 and had an iconic film career, but even he couldn't obtain that Highlander immortality. But alas, he will on film. RIP

A true acting great. He was also in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as Indy's old man as well as the character Zed in the 1973 movie Zardoz.
RIP Sean 007.

It's been expected as hadn't been well for a number of years, but 90 is a good age. Possibly the only real movie star Scotland has ever produced and even better was that he came from humble origins. RIP Sean just a pity your one last ambition never come true.

RIP. I don't think I have the strong words to explain how much of a great actor he was. This roles in films have made the films, what they were. Again, RIP Sean Connery!

Great Bond and also wonderful in the Untouchables. Strong supporter of Scotland, passed away in the Bahamas.
Ironically, I saw him yesterday in the film 'Hell Drivers'.
R.I.P. Sean

Great Bond and also wonderful in the Untouchables. R.I.P. Sean I know his character suffered a sad ending but until that point in the film, Connery played a proper old school, hard, no nonsense Cop who refused to be intimidated by enemies or superiors alike. Good stuff.

Very sad news.
I know Sean, will always be best remembered, for playing the role of James Bond, in seven films, but his sad passing, made me think how many films have I got starring Sean, where he didn't play James Bond, thanks to IMDb, I have now worked out the answer - 10.
I hope Sean, is up there now, with Roger Moore, and that they are both enjoying a Martini (shaken not stirred).
R.I.P. Sean Connery.

Good stuff. And I think it was the first time any of his characters has been killed on screen. Excellent film IMHO.

I took this photo at about half past ten this morning. The plane was almost directly overhead. I wish I'd taken it a few minutes earlier. Oh well. Quite a sight!

I haven't seen much of Natasha (my travelling companion), since March (you probably know why), but I did see Natasha, today and yesterday, I have been keeping in contact, with Natasha, via email, in an email, I sent to Natasha, at the weekend, I mentioned the sad news about Sean Connery, when Natasha replied, to the email, she told me some interesting information, her Drama teacher's father, appeared in the opening scene of Goldfinger, when I saw Natasha, this afternoon, she told me her Drama teacher's father, said the following words - there's a plane leaving for Miami, in an hour, words that were said to Sean Connery, at the bar, in the El Scorpio Nightclub.
The father of Natasha's Drama teacher, would have been Raymond Young (who played Sierra, in Goldfinger).
