Toby Hadoke has announced the sad news on Twitter. Always a treat seeing his performances in The Sweeney and his 2 Professionals episodes.
RIP

That's sad news. I watched Brannigan over the new year which obviously includes DH sharing a considerable amount of screen time with John Wayne. Possibly something he dined out on for many years to come.
RIP.

I remember he had a memorable cameo in scouse gangster flick "Going Off Big Time" - it was good to see him showing all the young whipper snappers how it should be done.

An actor who was always worth watching. His credits include Straw Dogs, Villain, The Sweeney, The Professionals and Minder. He was also in one of my favourite foreign films Soldier of Orange and one of my favourite Doctor Who stories Resurrection of the Daleks.
RIP Del

A really good all rounder whose work sadly dried up later on in his career. He is interviewed on one of the Classic DW DVDs and he remarks how difficult he was finding getting acting jobs later in life.

I knew the name, but couldn't place the face, but a quick search soon solved that.
Not much he hadn't done over the years. A very fine actor.
RIP

Great sparring with Regan early on in one of my favourite, of many, episodes 'Jigsaw'. I see on Wikipedia that he was Dublin born, and just turned 80.

Del Henney was one of those actors you felt should have had a 'bigger' career than he did, albeit he appeared in high profile TV series - including the lead in Fallen Hero - and several major films. Prior to the DVD release of the second series of King and Castle, I emailed Ian Kennedy Martin to see if he had any idea of when it would become available and in his reply Ian mentioned Del as an actor whom he very much admired.
