Off forum, I have asked several forum regulars individually to nominate 2 'so called' celebrities for this death match and I am pleased to say the nominations are now in. I shall not be revealing who nominated whom. Some of these celebrities were mentioned by more than one person and for this death match I will not be including an 'other' option. Clearly the names above are those people that us forum users do not like so it is time to decide, between us, who is the most despised of the lot of them. As the level of hatred towards some of this lot is clearly very high for this match, you get 5 to choose but please remember: there are rules when posting on this forum. We are a family friendly forum and extreme excessive bad language will not be tolerated and politics is not to be discussed (despite a certain Donald Trump being on this list). So, of those shown, which 5 celebs do you hate the most? Pick FIVE!

My five. Brand, ultimate champagne socialist and what happened with Andrew Sachs.
Cowell. No talent but rules who has or hasn't. Ruins the music business with his annual freak show.
Cordon. Very self satisfied. His success baffles me. I don't see any talent whatsoever.
Hucknall. Also arrogant, producing the blandest Muzak ever and seemingly with a permanent chip on his shoulder. Goes on Twitter blocking sprees (including me ha! ha!)
Williams. The fat dancer from Stoke has gone a long way with a lack of talent and a startling amount of arrogance.
Poor Davina. I can understand people finding her annoying but she's got cracking legs!

Russell Brand and Keith Lemon are the top two for me. Brand isn't funny, he's crude and lives in this fantasy world that people adore him - Russell, please bog orf, you are talentless and I have never laughed at a single joke you have said. As for Lemon, he optimises everything that went wrong with British TV post 2000, utter utter unfunny nonsense from an untalented individual. In fairness, he at least ACTS and attempts to sing - but Lemon is just that, a Lemon.

Brand, Phil Collins, Morgan, Lemon and O'Grady.
Russell Brand - Never found him funny and is self-obsessed as he thinks everybody should treat his political preaching seriously.
Paul O'Grady - Same as Russell Brand except I'm still waiting for him to leave the country like he said he would if the Tories were re-elected in 2015.
Phil Collins - Just for being Phil Collins
Piers Morgan - Just for being Piers Morgan
Keith Lemon - Never found him funny and he is a lemon.

I have nothing but hate for Piers Morgan, the man is slime, utter scum. I think back to when he was editor of a Newspaper and knowingly published fake war photos to build up hatred.....yet bizarrely now seems to be the man of moment to interview people and bully people. I refuse to watch any programme he is in or associated with. There are a few others I find irritating on that list, but I'd not choose any over Piers who gets my sole vote to consign him to a dustbin.

I didn't pick Morgan but he does annoy me by how he thinks he's some really big star and likes to namedrop all his Hollywood "friends".
I understand the dislike for Lemmon too. As jno says he is all that's wrong with British TV nowadays, likewise Gemma Collins and all those who are in reality TV.

We'll have to gather these names together for the sequel.
I never watch Knowles so he's not on my radar, but I heard him on radio 4 recently and I can see him annoying people.

Myself and brother mias have discussed Nick Knowles in the past. Other than 'looking like he is supervising builders' I see nothing else at all that he does apart from pretending to be a candidate in the ACME school of generic stand-in/not very good presenters. He is "general useless" but to be fair he is superceded by many others. Without wanting to discuss past places that some of us here used to frequent, I can think of one individual that might just beat all of these in terms of despisement, unless time heals - nah maybe not, in the words of Paul McCartney, we all stand together ... meanwhile back on topic...
Noel Edmonds and his tidy beard, he brought the nation together in the 90s in Crinkley Bottom - he's gone a bit weird of late but he was not nominated this time.

Phillip Schofield another one for part 2. He's one of these who thinks his opinion matters because he has lots of followers on social media. Piers Morgan the same and Gary Lineker too.

Gemma Collins - thankfully, I have absolutely no idea who she is Good to see that my reserve pick, James Corden, is hated by my forum brethren as well! My most hated person in the public eye is actually Kelvin McKenzie but I wouldn't class him as a celebrity, even by Gemma Collins' standards, whoever she may be. I will raise a glass the day he shuffles off and I hope it isn't painless for him, the tw@t.

Eamonn Holmes - I know there was at least one 'individual' jno approached for this Deathmatch that included about 70 names in their list of 'two'... And Eamonn was on it. In fact so were many more that aren't included on this list, but have since been mentioned by posters. I cannot reveal who the individual was that named such a long list of 'celebrities' that they cannot stand. All I can presume is that they have much hate in them.

Gemma Collins - like Felix I had no idea who she was but when Magnum posted up the pic of her I know now.. I saw her once on a panel show, like 8 Out Of Ten Cats or something, and presumably she is either some skank that is as thick as two short planks, famous for making an idiot of herself and being a poor judge of life's situations... or she plays the role well.
Whatever panel show it was that she was on, the other contestants just repeatedly took the micky out of her and it was quite embarrassing to watch. Absolutely no class or self respect whatsoever.

Interesting to see Donald Trump hasn't picked up a single vote yet..... *But then again I mean who in their right mind would vote for that guy, right? *please note the punch line to that is not meant to be a serious political statement.

Russell Brand - overrated. Simon Cowell - overpaid. Gemma Collins - overw.... Well ok, that's being rude to the nice curvy ladies in the world who unlike her, don't talk cr** 24/7 Jeremy Clarkson - overego Justin Bieber - all of the above
Like him or loathe him, Donald Trump's immigration policy is no different to many rich Muslim countries who are regional neighbours and practically floating on oil.
Rather than spending money on shopping malls, these countries could invest, help and house thousands of fellow Muslim brothers displaced by war in the endless building space that they have - built by a cheap immigrant labour force that's already in place.
But I'll stop now for fear of being too political. And Donald Trump has got no votes on here. So somebody must like him.
Davina MacCall. Have you ever seen Long Lost Family? I couldn't possibly vote for her. James Corden, yeah he can be annoying. But he did co-write Gavin & Stacey and is pretty funny on A League Of Their Own. Phil Collins. For all his faults, he's actually a great rock drummer.
I'm also proud to say that I didn't even recognise some of the names on the list. Perhaps it's just having lived outside the UK for so long or the fact I don't watch so much cr** telly anymore.
Personally, I'd have added Greg Wallace to that list. Getting rich and famous off selling fruit from a barrow and slagging off people's Victoria sponges on BBC1 night after night? Yeah, that's real talent that is...

Piers Morgan currently leading this. It's a fair point that thecraftyleek makes about 'at least Phil Collins' - if we're fair he CAN play the drums, so there is at least SOME talent there I agree. And Donald Trump has got no votes on here. So somebody must like him. ...or it might just be the case that 5 others were disliked slightly more and the forum brethren here ran out of votes. Personally, I'd have added Greg Wallace to that list. Getting rich and famous off selling fruit from a barrow and slagging off people's Victoria sponges on BBC1 night after night? Yeah, that's real talent that is... Due to the bitterness (no fruit pun intended) there most certainly looks like a round 2 is going to have to take place here at some future point.

Re: Phil Collins.. This poll matters nothing about talent as far as I'm concerned. They could be the most talented individual on the planet and I might still dislike or despise them from what I see of them. This isn't a talent contest, don't be mistaken by that..
That's why we should have a sports edition that includes: Phil Taylor, Andy Murray and Lewis Hamilton etc etc.
Now I didn't vote for Collins, others came further up on the list than him, and as jno said I firmly believe that's exactly why Trump hasn't been voted for on here yet..
Re: McCall. I honestly cannot watch the woman, I find her so nauseating that if she comes on tele I have to turn it over or off. I saw her once on Question Time (I'm a fan of politics and political debate, even if the forum isn't..) and she really annoyed me. 100% false, 100% ignorant. Come to think of it I'm surprised she isn't asked back on the show regularly.

Agreed Arch, this isn't a talent contest but there are points above about a lack of talent, which most of these muppets listed fall into. No disprect to 'The Muppets' (Kermit, Miss Piggy etc.) intended as they indeed have plenty of talent as discussed back in Death Match 28: minder.proboards.com/thread/1705/28-coolest-muppet

Piers Morgan stands out for me for the reasons given by bensonrad. I was tempted just to vote for him but I also voted for Russell Brand, Simon Cowell and James Corden, they are all excessively annoying and (in the case of the first two) manipulate vast numbers of gullible people. In the case of James Corden I am just baffled as to how someone so talentless can get so far. I didn't vote for another because although most of the rest are annoying (I genuinely would remove Paul O'Grady from the list - and replace him with Noel Edmonds for instance) they don't necessarily exude evil. I have never heard of Gemma Collins. Donald Trump belongs in a different kind of category altogether. Although he is primarily a reality TV star he can't really be evaluated alongside these characters who - for the most part - don't have the power to destroy the world in a nuclear Armageddon. He is literally beyond a joke. But having said that and going back to the start there is something about Piers Morgan's manipulation of the truth that marks him out as very, very nasty.

There are about five on the list that I didn't vote for him, as I don't hate him, but I will say that I do find Robbie Williams to be just plain annoying. He has recently been in Australia touring so did the tv talk show circuit including one that I watch. He's not half fond of himself ! It surprises me that James Corden isn't very popular in his own country. The only thing I know him from is 'Gavin and Stacey' (which I did like) and the adverts for that late late USA show. He must be on a fortune hosting a show like that. Wouldn't the repetition of that style of American talk show just drive you nuts eventually.

I didn't watch Gavin and Stacy. I thought it was crass to call the families Westband Shipman, but I'm sure Ruth Jones was the talented one of the writing partnership.

Thought it was great when Ewan McGregor got to the studio and refused to go on the breakfast show last week when he found out who the presenter was. McGregor was one of my picks for this, if i'd got around to telling jno. Hate the sanctimonious..... If he was any sort of man he would have used the interview to make Morgan look an even bigger bell end.

I went for Cowell and Morgan - both without any redeeming feature that I can see. Isn't Keith Lemon actually Leigh Francis of Bo! Selecta infamy? That had its moments but the treatment of Craig David was pretty despicable (and that's from someone who can't stand his music). As my brother said Francis/Lemon is a nasty bully who would benefit immeasurably from a "good shoeing".
Never head of Gemma Collins before now, reading Magnumpi's post I get the impression she's somebody more to be pitied than hated?

whilst I don't particularly dislike any celebrity due to not taking much notice of them, Simon Cowell seems very arrogant and up himself

Not just here but in general- never figured that one out In general, his popularity took a big hit when it was reported that he was divorcing his wife by fax around 1993-94. I don't dislike him. I think Genesis have done some decent songs but I'm not keen on his solo stuff.
