I'd say Ian Ogilvy if I could be bothered dressing smartly but it's more likely to be Richard O'Sullivan (or Terry McCann) as I don't feel comfortable in more formal gear. However, I strongly object to the comment in the TV Times article saying men don't have to spend anything on jewellery, gloves, bags or hats. I rarely go out without all four, or I did until Billy and his mate from A Well-Fashioned Fit-Up nicked the flaming lot. I'm sure he flogged them to Zoe as she said she knew a few villains. Ian Ogilvy mentioned the opened shirt in a Return of the Saint commentary, saying he wishes he'd fastened some more buttons. You could still wear some of Ian's clothes, more or less, from his Saint days, apart from his American-style leisure suit of course. He said the producer wanted to go for a classic look in the Saint rather than latest trends, which as seen above were still wide lapels, broad ties and flares. As for Ted and the Grecian 2000, I'd certainly have used it and any other youth-giving aid if I was in a show with the two girls on the 'Dusty Goes Latin' cover.
