Only the top brass at ASDA have good cars. This is exactly why you have the issues with hygiene and other such things in supermarkets, the disparity in wages between staff and management. The management were always awful, some of the worst specimens of human can be found wearing supermarket badges with "manager" on them. I started working for Safeway in 93 and the average department managers salary was £30k, which was and still is a good salary the average worker was under £3 per hour. When I moved to Sainsburys in 96 the store manager earned £80k a year with bonuses and extras on top of that, it would be well over six figures now if it was a high profile shop. Remember they don't do any real work, just walk about in suits on power trips bullying staff. I am sure there must be some nice people doing this job, I just never met any. I was a thorn in managements side throughout my supermarket years and am always proud of that Back on topic: I was at the football today and popped into Morrisons which is just a short walk from Pittodrie on the way home, it was a really cold day today and I wanted a hot drink, but just decided to head for home once I picked up some bread, the cafe didn't look appealing at all and it certainly wasn't busy, which it usually is after the football. I reckon a few folk have been reading this thread. I couldn't see my old pal Wendy either.

I have to say that I don't often frequent supermarket cafes but I remember going to the one at Tesco's which is on the outskirts of my hometown Blackburn and whenever I ordered a plate of chips, they would give it to me straight away and it would be piping hot. I'd also help myself to sachets of salt and vinegar where the cutlery would be and there would also be a drinks machine nearby. Never noticed anything dodgy when I ate there.

Tesco - because they are run by eurest & the prices & choice are poor.
They are all slow at M&S,Sainsburys & Waitrose - but at least you feel like yr getting some quality.
