Great loss, may he RIP.... Got out my CD Platinum Collection after I heard about his death. Altho, hopefully not speaking ill of the dead, I don't like his last single Blackstar... I saw the video back in Novemember and it did look a bit strange

Yep, know Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo....big deal in German schools, every kid needs to read the novel, watch the movie ( and listen to Bowie for that matter )

his best song was UNCLE ARTHUR Interesting choice from his first album (1967). Generally the first two albums (both self-titled, for different labels) are a bit disappointing. He didn't get into his stride until 'The Man Who Sold The World' (1970). And he didn't receive great commercial success until Ziggy Stardust. Re: the video for 'Blackstar' - it does look a bit disconcerting, but then that is Bowie through & through, doing something different and challenging. It is memorable amongst all the usual routineness.

Mum and dad had a number of Bowie LPs such as The Man Who Sold the World, Pin Ups and Young Americans as well as cassettes of Space Oddity (my mum's fave Bowie song), Hunky Dory and Let's Dance while I bought a Ziggy Stardust CD back in '99 and Diamond Dogs a couple of years later

I've got most of his early LP's in the loft somewhere.

I have a printed signed Bowie photo on eBay from the Aladdin Sane shoot, Got it last year at a record fair with a few others, I thought I might get a fiver for it, as I type, it is at £62. Madness! It ends today, I have some Ziggy Stardust ones as well, they'll be going up as well.

EBay cancelled the listing as it violates copyright! Pretty sure some jealous sellers tipped them off. I will redo it with a one day sale. Anyone want one, let me know (won't cost you £62 either!)

EBay cancelled the listing as it violates copyright! I know the feeling. I think I have said on here before about Dave Clark (he of the Dave Clark 5)'s empire sending an e mail to Ebay to get my DC5 listing removed. Dave is so poor! Living in his millionaire's bachelor flat in London.

It's a fair one, I expect many are looking to cash in on his passing, let's be honest, the value rockets on a demise and his lawyers foot soldiers will be scouring the online auction sites to ensure no one takes liberties. I will hit it again Friday night for a one day auction.

His albums appear to have been removed from You Tube, due to Warner Brothers instruction. His death has created a new interest - they think people should be buying them. Fair enough I suppose....
