Sad news. Nobby had battled dementia for a long time. Very nice man by all accounts.

Chariots Of Fire is an excellent film. Must have a rewatch soon. Alice Krige looks stunning in it.

Public Eye, one of the best TV series of all time. Roger's Sweeney scripts were mostly excellent, Taste Of Fear and Victims being two highlights.

Wonder if we'll find out who actually was in his "little black book?" Everton's John Morrissey was too of the list apparently. Seriously, it sounds like Jack was a great, down to earth bloke.

Strictly was quite decent in its first couple of years but then decided to go for a trashy tabloid style.
I once turned the TV on and I couldn't find the remote control and had to suffer about five minutes of the X Factor. It was a painful experience.

RIP Peter. The standard of newsreaders and reporters was very high in those days.

Lots of acting roles since the 1950s. Had a long running role in The Archers on radio 4. He did the voices of Colonel K and Baron Greenback in Dangermouse and was also in the Minder episode 'In'.

I've not got round to getting 'Wet Job' yet but I've got colour, monochrome and This Man Alone. I quite like the documentary.

That save was amazing, even if Alan Mullery told him he should have caught it... I don't think England would have lost that 1970 World Cup quarter final v West Germany if he hadn't gone down with good poisoning.

(Bungle) Bear in mind that the 'Twangers' episode was in house Christmas tape by Thames in 1977, as people will say "can you believe this went out"

This story came from Geoffrey Hayes, who was a Dundee United supporter. He said that Zippy was supposed to have been blue but he objected as they were the colours of rivals Dundee. Thing that Geoffrey forgets is that Zippy actually appeared in the first series, presented by David Cooke and the 'scary' Bungle, played by John Leeson. Not too sure what's going on in this picture... The Original scary Bungle, before he was replaced by 'Classic' Bungle (below)
