Great innings for both legends of British cinema. A sad day for fans of both excellent actors

Oh dear! That is truly sad news. As Ace said "legends of British cinema".

Christopher Lee was one of the best villain actors ever. Dracula, Lord Summerisle and Scaramanga. I liked seeing Ron Moody pop up in a Starsky & Hutch episode from series 2 (Murder At Sea).

I heard about Christopher Lee on the radio today but didn't know about Ron Moody.
RIP.

Loved Christopher Lee's Lord Summerisle in The Wicker Man. Played a great Bond villain in 'Man With The Golden Gun'...
Great on-screen presence. R.I.P Christopher.

Interesting to read that Ron Moody turned down 'Dr Who' before Jon Pertwee accepted playing the Doctor. I liked Jon Pertwee but I would have loved to have seen Ron Moody as the Doctor.

When I think of Ron Moody I always think of that episode of Tales of the Unexpected he's in... That and Legend of the Werewolf!
I think with Lee passing away, other than Moore and Caine, I have no more British movie icons left!! R.I.P. Christopher Lee.

The 'Tales Of The Unexpected' episode was 'Taste' and it was a good one. I can't think of any other British film icons left apart from Moore, Connery and Caine. There is still Patrick MacNee left for TV icons and he is 93.

Terrible that these two great cult actors died more or less at the same time.
I don't normally like musicals, but 'Oliver!' has something about it. It is the kind of light entertainment with a dark edge, that could only have been made in the period when it was. I find it compelling to watch.
Ditto 'The Wicker Man', also a musical of sorts, with Christopher Lee displaying quite a fine singing voice.

I heard on the radio that one of Christopher Lees biggest acting regrets was not being asked to appear in a Carry On film.
Presumably Carry On Screaming.
