I did a search on Tubi for Ray Winstone and found this film I had never heard of. At first, I thought it was going to be another Rom Com, like Fanny & Elvis from 1999. It actually started out looking just like that film, with two extremely unlikeable leads, Sean Chapman and Maryam D'abo having relationship issues. About 30 minutes in, Ray appears, and it turns into a male bonding road comedy, with the Chapman character getting stuck sitting next to the uncouth Winstone character on an airplane. The film steers away from the romantic aspect but continues with some terrible voiceover narration from Chapman as he narrates his romantic problems via flashbacks. Ray's rude character then softens up (with a few drinks) and attempts to be a shoulder for Chapman to cry on and provide insight and therapy. Wow, what a terrible film.
It attempts to be a comedy and it all ends up being very daft. Most of the jokes are not funny at all. I wouldn't recommend this and Ray doesn't have as much screen time as the very annoying Chapman. Very deserving of its low 4.9 IMDB rating. Probably should be less.
Or while in a tree. There's actually a scene where Chapman and Winstone climb a tree and have a chat up there. Then Winstone falls out of the tree and says, "I'm alright, I fell on your wallet." Just shows you how flat the jokes are.
