Drop The Dead Donkey, officer banter of television news, a group of journalist and their manager tries to move along to get the kind of news they want to get out, however most of the time, they don't get along.
Stephen Tompkinson plays Damien Day, one of the main members who is mostly a research who helps the team get the news out however being a comedy, it makes you wonder how well he works. He banters a lot in the show. He makes fun of a lot of characters in the show. He has appeared in all the episodes of the show. He does make the show what it is.
... and here's Nick Day in season 3, episode 3 titled Henry's Lost Love, playing a tax officer for one of the other characters. The episode first shown in 1993, around the same time both Tompkinson and Day were in Minder. Day doesn't appear in the any of the same scenes as Tompkinson. Maybe clear that it was just maybe to get more viewers just in case someone read the TV guide and saw the actors names together, considering that Drop the Dead Donkey was a Channel 4 programme and Minder was on ITV.
