Night Flight, was a 2 part Drama, first shown on BBC1, in 2002, Night Flight, was set in 1943 and the present day, appearing in Night Flight, was Christopher Plummer, who played 'Flash' Harry Peters (a former Lancaster pilot), who meets a former comrade - Vic Green (Edward Woodward), at a Cenotaph commemoration, Vic's appearance, invokes memories for them both, in Night Flight, Harry and Vic, come to terms with their past, Alec Newman and Chris Lennard, played the young Harry and Vic.
Also appearing in Night Flight, were Barbara Flynn (Moira) and Kenneth Cranham (Ted Atwell), who played the son of a former comrade of Harry and Vic's, the plot of Night Flight, was confusing, but was saved by the performances of Christopher Plummer and Edward Woodward, I can remember watching Night Flight, when the 2 part Drama, was first shown on BBC1, in 2002, I have since enjoyed watching Night Flight, on DVD-R disc.
One of the few things from the jno DVD backlog that I actually enjoyed. Christopher Plummer is a superb actor in this as you never really know what’s going on in his head. A young Andrew Lee Potts (of ‘Primeval’ fame) is also in it as the wartime dad that never was.
The closing scenes at the aircraft hangar are a bit strange. But it’s a decent story. My only concern is the timeline: it appears people from four generations are all in it. Even if you stick 20 years between them all, the age maths doesn’t really add up.
