I was looking for an article on Deanna Lund passing away and found out that Bradford Dillman had passed away in January. He was 87.
Bradford had an incredibly long and successful career in films and on TV from 1955 - 1995.
Probably best known for 'Piranha' (1978), 'The Swarm' (1978), 'The Enforcer' (1976) and 'The Bridge at Remagen' (1968).
It would be easier to name the US TV Shows he didn't guest star in.
Also starred in a couple of episodes of the ATV series 'Thriller' written by Brian Clemens. He was in 'Death in Deep Water' with the late Suzan Farmer and 'The Next Voice You See' with Catherine Schell.
RIP

This really jarred my memory. I remember reading something in January about his passing but it didn't really click at the time. MIAS is right. He seemed to be everywhere on American TV in the 1960s and '70s. He was also in Escape From the Planet of the Apes (1971) Rest In Peace

He has to have been one of the most prolific character actors in US history. It would take hours to list all the stuff he appeared in. He wasn't a bit part actor either. He had substantial roles in just about everything he was credited in.

I just remembered that he was in the movie Gold (1974) with Roger Moore.

Wasn't he one of Callahan's long suffering commanding officers in the Dirty Harry films?

Wasn't he one of Callahan's long suffering commanding officers in the Dirty Harry films? He was the legend in his own mind! His Thriller episode where he was blind after being shot in the face had a cracking little theme on the American version! If you have the set check it out! RIP Brad! JB
