Former Footballer, Jimmy Armfield, who played for Blackpool from 1954-1971, has sadly died, aged 82.
Jimmy Armfield, was also a member of England's 1966 World Cup winning squad.
Jimmy Armfield, later managed Bolton Wanderers and Leeds United, he took Leeds, to the 1975 European Cup Final.
Jimmy Armfield, was also a Football pundit (on the Radio), for many years.

Before my time, but heard all about him as went to Blackpool as a kid a lot and you cannot visit Blackpool without finding out who Jimmy Armfield is.

I remember him as manager of Leeds. After the Revie-era he held them together for a few years, before they plunged into the lower division under subsequent regimes.
