One of the legendary producers associated with the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and much more.
I saw him recently in the film 'ANVIL' - I MUST have got several of his records in my collection, but without looking, I'll guess, Lizzy, Maiden, Sabbath, Priest, Girlschool, UFO, John Sykes, Rock Goddess and many more.

John McCoy texted me the other day to say Chris had died, but I didn't post it here as I doubted anyone would know him. A sad loss.

I remember he did stuff for Thin Lizzy and his was often a name you'd encounter on the back of rock record sleeves in the 1980s. From memory his work always sound good. Certainly compared to a few other name producers of the same era.
Surprised to learn he did a fair bit of a non-rock as well.
