I watched this one yesterday. I was actually quite impressed - there is a fine cast in this including Robert Wagner, Bette Davis, Gordon Jackson, Denholm Elliot, Dudley Sutton, Burt Kwouk, Roy Kinnear, Frank Middlemass (The Sweeney), Charles Lloyd Pack and the lovely Catherine Schell (showing a LOT of flesh towards the end too - definitely one for brother magnumpi).
The story - well, the trailer pretty much sums it up. International crime mogul 'Madame Sin' wants to steal a nuclear submarine and needs all the help she can get to achieve her aim. She has employed top scientists for her crime empire but requires the help of an American agent called Anthony Lawrence (Robert Wagner) to complete her mission. In order to do so she will any sort of torturous methods she can, including brainwashing.
Overall I thought this was a mix of lots of stuff - the whacky (albeit more plausible) plots of 60s Bond, with certain elements of 'The Prisoner' (capture, imprisonment, torture, brainwashing) thrown in for good measure. With a half decent plot, some fine acting and some great locations (mostly filmed on Mull in Scotland) - this is a great way to kill one and a half hours.
Good stuff throughout, but the ending slightly disappointed, leaving me wanting more. 8/10

Daley & McCann are, as good as, holding hands, on the exercise yard, in the scrubs.
