The Clue of the Missing Ape, was an early 1950s CFF Film, which I enjoyed watching this afternoon, in the opening scene of the film, Sea Cadet Jimmy Sutton (Roy Savage), can be seen walking down an English Country path, Jimmy hears a plane, which then crashes into a field, Jimmy rescues the pilot Lt. Commander Collier (William Patrick), Jimmy also retrieves a dispatch case (which contains important papers), from the plane, the plane was sabotaged.
For saving the pilot's life, the British Admiralty, rewards Jimmy, with a trip to Gibraltar, Jimmy and Lt. Commander Collier, go to Gibraltar, the rest of the film, is set on Gibraltar, where new challenges await, on Gibraltar, Jimmy and Lt. Commander Collier, stay with Petty Officer Ellis (Marcus Simpson) and his daughter Pilar (Nati Banda), Pilar helps Jimmy, with the new challenges, that await on Gibraltar.
There are quite a few Villain's in The Clue of the Missing Ape, one of the Villain's (Gobo), is played by George Cole, for anyone, who has never seen The Clue of the Missing Ape, I won't say anymore, The Clue of the Missing Ape, was directed by James Hill (Worzel Gummidge), a clip (which features George Cole) from the film, can be seen on YouTube.
