Yes, I saw The Dinner Party last night - sadly though George was only on screen for about 5 minutes which was a great shame. I had to smile when he said he's 83 in character - in real life he is only 82! It's definitely worth watching to see George on TV again, but my favourite of his appearances this year was in New Tricks.
I've just set the video to record Cottage To Let tomorrow - I've always wanted to see this film but so far I've only seen a few clips. I've just found this review of Cottage to Let on the C4 website - it's good to see the review mentions that "This was 16-year-old George Cole's first big screen performance and, despite the quality of the cast around him, he steals the show as an embryonic Arthur Daley. He knew his part back to front, having made it his own in the successful West End play (by Geoffrey Kerr) on which the film is based."
