The popular Cuban-American Italian actor died last week. Starred in dozens of films and appeared in 104 all told. Had parts in 'The Agony and The Ecstasy' , 'Traffic', 'J.F.K.' and 'Amistad' but most well known for the scores of Italian films he starred in. 'The Big Gundown' is a superb example.
RIP Tomas

Tomas starred in so many top quality movies throughout the 60s and 70s - spaghetti westerns, crime thrillers, horror thrillers, comedies etc etc.. A huge star of European film. If his name is in the credits of a movie, then that would be a good enough reason to watch it, whatever it was. Tomas, long may you be seen to wear your awful array of rubbish head wear on screens far and wide, for many years to come. In my opinion, today we lost a giant of European cinema. RIP Craphat. Thanks for the movies..

His performances always enlivened the many spaghetti westerns in which he appeared. I most recently saw him in Companeros as the happy-go-lucky bandito who gradually turns into a committed revolutionary. Of his more modern performances I thought he did a good guest star spot in US crime series Law and Order as a General Pinochet style dictator whose presence in the US causes a headache for the authorities.
