If you missed this BBC documentary first time round theres a chance to see it from today (7/2/17) on Dave at 8pm with Series 1 Episode 1. It centres on the staff at a scrapyard in Bolton run by husband and wife Terry & Lyndsay Walker. Most of their staff are somewhat wayward and health and safety is an after thought. I'm not sure if Dave are repeating Series 2 as well also I don't think the BBC have confirmed a Series 3 or cancellation yet.
...but a recommendation from trusted brother Wendell is always worth checking out!
Thank you! it's not going to be to everyone's taste but I thought i'd create a thread as I know we have some car enthusiasts on here also as Minder (and The Sweeney) frequently feature scrapyards I thought it may be of interest as it's more of an old school type of yard 'stack em high loads a mud'.
I watched the first one of these the other night on the recommendations of brother Wendell. Now normally I don't do 'reality' style TV but this one I did enjoy - the bloke basically runs a scrapyard in Bolton and is a bit of an Arthur Daley type, albeit he's a grafter employing ex-cons and general vagabond types to do his labouring and stripping of cars. It's dirty work where every penny counts .
He seems to do ok for himself except his wife likes to spend a lot of time throwing his hard-earned away down the tanning studio.
A very enjoyable 30 minutes of TV and looking forward to the second one.

Daley & McCann are, as good as, holding hands, on the exercise yard, in the scrubs.

I remember that the original airing of Series 2 had to be delayed as a person who was featured in the documentary was to appear in court during the transmission period, it was literally last minute as TV guides had been printed giving scheduled times and descriptions.
