With all the self inflicted abuse he put his body through I am not that surprised. No age though. He was very entertaining on CBB a few years ago. Never too much a fan of his music but he would never BS you!
RIP Pete.

'You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)' is one of my all-time favourite songs and my favourite Stock, Aitken and Waterman record.

Yes, a great timeless record. Was a good looking chap then as well, what was he thinking with the plastic surgery?

Shocked by the news - I used buy my records from him and his wife Lynn in Probe in Liverpool when I was in my teens. It was no surprise that he became a singer and I saw him perform with his first band Nightmares In Wax before he went on to form Dead Or Alive. They had a very different sound to their SAW days and their 7" single 'I'm Falling" b/w probably my favourite b-side ever, "Flowers" (neither of which you'll find on the forthcoming anthology box set. Harumph.) is quite simply superb.
RIP Pete la', you lost your way in recent years but you were a true one-off.

A shame. As posted above he was nobodys fool and was good entertainment when on the telly.
57 is no age really, but the years of surgery must have taken its toll on his heart.
RIP

Sorry to hear this. I did like 'You Spin Me Round' at the time.
Stock Aitken & Waterman were not well established in 1985 - their dominance which emerged (to produce cheesy songs for TV stars) has meant that 'You Spin Me Round' has become associated with this, and overlooked as a song in itself.
Also, Dead Or Alive did not really build on the promise of this song.
RIP Pete Burns.
