Nooooooooo!! This is some of the worst news this year! He was brilliant. His movies were great fun. Admittedly, very silly slapstick family films, but nearly always guarenteed chuckles. I actually preferred him to Terence Hill in their on screen duo. I'd be lying if I said I have all their films, but I'm not short of too many.. Plus I have loads of Bud's sole stuff too. Carlo Pedersoli (Bud's real name) tried his hand at everything. I know he was a champion swimmer, helicopter/jet pilot, actor, politician and I'm pretty sure he opened up some clothes company for impoverished kids or something.. And generally, by all accounts, he was a good guy... His American stage name, Bud Spencer, came from an amalgamation of his favourite beer, Budweiser, and his favourite actor Spencer Tracy. You know the other day I was walking around France wearing a Bud Spencer t-shirt, and it was pointed out!! The minute I get back to Stanton Hall, I'll be watching Banana Joe for sure!! I'll leave you with a quote (not verbatim but near enough) from 'All The Way Boys', a scene in which Bud is flying a very sick man to hospital, against orders from authority, in zero visibility, in a rickety old plane, whilst drinking heavily from a bottle of whiskey. The sick man asks him why he takes such risks just to save a sick man he doesn't know, and Bud replies: "It's alright. When I drink I'm immortal." Oh well Bud, guess you must have had a day off. For all the laughs you have give me, RIP Carlo, sir

I used to like the Trinity films. I'm pretty sure the restaurant scene in the Blues Brothers is nicked from one of them.
