With this B-movie starring both Randall & Hopkirk star Kenneth Cope (3 Minders) and Ann Lynn (Rose Mellors in 2 Minders) I just had to include it here in 'Not Minder'.
On the way back from a safe job, a gang of crooks have a bit of baggage in the form of a girl called Carol who they didn't really want to take with them. Carol's father was the night watchman injured as part of their robbery. When the gang's leader Eddy (Reed De Rouen) tells the rest of the gang to go back to their normal lives for 24 hours, he keeps an eye on Carol while he comes up with an escape plan including what to do with Carol next.
Meanwhile after news of the robbery, the old bill are out and about doing their rounds looking for some suspects. When the police visit, one gang member Syd soon starts gets aggro from his wife Stella (played by the gorgeous Ann Lynn). Stella wants rid of Syd and will only provide him with an alibi if he agrees to give her half his share of the loot.
With Eddy's plan to get out of the country on a boat the crooks seemingly have it all sussed, but soon cracks start to appear and the pressure is on from all sides for all the gang as they start to wonder how they'll get away without getting nicked.
Thoroughly enjoyable, albeit very short film this - all sorts of double-cross and twists and turns going on in just 57 minutes - superb script in my opinion. Kenneth Cope and Ann Lynn are on top form throughout. 9/10 - loved it!
