I don't know if any of you remember this, but this was a kids' series on ITV in which comedians Mel Smith and Bob Goody performed sketches so that they could encourage children of all ages to read. My brother used to watch it back when it was first on and I actually remember a repeat (maybe as a result of a last-minute programme change) on Children's ITV in either 1983 or '84. I don't think Network have ever released this on DVD.
"What was I thinking of, hitting him? Nothing. No, I know. I hate him! I hate his guts, I hate everything he stands for with his PACE and his plus and his statements of purpose and his smiling at the punters and his have a nice day! I mean when was the last time he ever nicked anybody, eh? A real villain! When was the last time he ever put himself on the line?"
