Anyone here a fan? I enjoyed it a lot, he seemed to have the perfect life that Jonathan Hart. Always flying around the world solving crimes and ending up in the bath with Stephanie Powers at the end of each episode. That's what I call a perfect day.

I remember enjoying it back in the day but I don't suppose I have seen it for 30 years or more. Not convinced I would be so keen on it now.

Yep, not myself too much, but 'er indoors is a die hard fan. Had to get her all episodes on DVD. Seasons 1 and 2 are available officially , but the rest I had to organize as download as they stopped publishing it.
For me it always wasnt gritty enough, too comedian.
Catchphrase from the German dubbed eps is: "Schatz, hast du Dir wehgetan?" -"Darling, did you hurt yourself?" - always when Jonathan got one of his kickings... LOL

Ahh I have season 1 and 2 still waiting for season 3 and 4. Stephanie Powers was lovely in her day. I didn't like the TV movies though. Some were damn right s#ite!

Ms Powers was a lovely looking lady in 'The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.' as well. And that was filmed about 12 years or more before HTH.

Good series. I will watch now and then as it still airs over here. It's a decent mix of comedy, adventure, and mystery. Robert Wagner's best show to me was It Takes A Thief, which is the TV show responsible for keeping Minder at #2 on my top TV shows of all time list.

I used to watch this on Sunday nights in the 80s. Loved it then and as a 10 year old you can't help but fancy Ms Powers. How it might stand up today I don't know but perhaps I should give it a go again. That said, even as a kid I thought 'urm, how do they end up getting mixed up in all these crimes week after week then?' ... I guess you are supposed to look beyond that in a similar vein to never going on a weekend away with Jessica Fletcher off 'Murder She Wrote' - guaranteed someone will get 'iced' at some point. Ahh I have season 1 and 2 still waiting for season 3 and 4. If you do multi-region and are willing to splash out on lavish R1 like Señor dscarter and I do on the odd occasion (probably way too often!), Shout Factory have seasons 3 to 5 available: www.shoutfactory.com/tv/tv-action-adventure/hart-to-hart-season-threeEven if you don't do multi-region there is always DVD Decrypter - nice info here: linkThe major issue with Shout Factory releases is that are literally top dollar. Meanwhile 'Hart To Hart' - we have super fit Ms Powers, we have super smooth Robert Wagner, we have a dog called Freeway (he was cool), we have two Mercedes driving fast and some pretty slick titles each week, we have Ms Powers, did I mention her yet? oh, and most importantly the lead has the name Jonathan. Urrm, where do I know that name from? You don't often get characters in classic era TV shows with the name Jonathan, for a bonus point name a few (must be 1965-1990 TV, not film).

My mum and sister used to watch Hart To Hart. In a very early episode of The Fall Guy, Robert Wagner appeared as himself in a cameo, criticizing Colt Seavers for putting his own life in danger by jumping out of a plane without a parachute. I also remember Stefanie Powers in an '80s mini-series called Deceptions. I like her in The Girl From UNCLE, she's very likeable.

I know about that too. Apparently he and Christopher Walken were both allegedly at the scene when she drowned. Were they drunk?

I know about that too. Apparently he and Christopher Walken were both allegedly at the scene when she drowned. Were they drunk? No, allegedly about it they were both present. I have grave doubts about Wagner over this affair. Los Angeles County sheriff's detectives reopened their investigation in 2011 after the captain of the yacht claimed that Wood's husband, Robert Wagner, was with her right up until she went overboard.
Her death was ruled 'accidental' at the time, but in 2012, the coroner changed the ruling to 'undetermined.' The coroner's office said in the new report that it is not have enough evidence to rule on the manner in which Wood died.
However, the report did pay special attention to the bruises found on Wood's body.
'The location of the bruises, the multiplicity of the bruises, lack of head trauma, or facial bruising support bruising having occurred prior to entry in the water,' the report stated.
'Since there are unanswered questions and limited additional evidence available for evaluation, it is opined by this Medical Examiner that the manner of death should be left as undetermined,' Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran wrote in the report completed last June.
Wagner has told investigators that Wood, who could not swim, must have fallen in the water when she got up to try to retie a dingy that had been knocking against the side of the yacht.
He is not considered a suspect by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office.
Wood's body was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.14 percent, nearly twice the legal limit for driving. She was also found to be under the influence of a motion sickness medication and a painkiller, which likely increased her level of intoxication.
Her body was found floating off Catalina Island, near Los Angeles, several hours later.
The captain of the yacht, Dennis Davern, told '48 Hours' and the 'Today' show last year that he heard Mr Wagner and Ms Wood arguing the night of her disappearance and believed Mr Wagner was to blame for her death.
He said that after Wood went to bed, he heard the fight continuing in her cabin, including sounds of a physical struggle.
He also claimed that a fight had broken out between Wagner and actor Christopher Walken, who was also aboard to yacht.
Mr Davern claims Wagner waited several hours after his wife disappeared to call authorities.

Wagner said in his book of his temper- I think he was obsessed with Wood who seemed to be one for chasing many men. Who knows what happened but walken must know more then he is letting on.

Such a shame. Never really been a big fan of Wagner but this incident puts a stain on his character. To be honest, Christopher Walken always seemed like a creepy bloke to me. Great actor though, even though he got typecast as the crazy, taciturn villain.

Caught an episode of this , on Saturday , involving the Harts taking part in a car rally , which was actually quite good . Plenty of early 1980s sports cars to spot . However a major blooper , was when the bad guys Audi Quattro suddenly changed into a MK2 Volkswagen Scirocco !! The baddie in the Quattro/Scirocco was played by Stefan Grief , who appeared in Minder "The Birdman from Wormwood Scrubs" & also Citizen Smith . His girlfriend was Linda Hayden , who most of us can t fail to forget , when she appeared in The Professionals " Blackout" !!!

I saw one on Saturday which featured Gordon Jackson and was filmed in Denham and at Wrotham Park, Barnet - see the ‘Heads Up, Forthcoming Broadcast’ thread for details of the repeat showing this Wednesday.

Hart to Hart. The only series which makes married couples with a car each, think they are Jonathan and Jennifer when they drive separately to the same location.
When I pass Mrs Leek in my car and she’s in hers, I often roll down the window and say ‘Crafty Leek, he’s quite a guy!’ She’s kind of sick of me doing it now as well!
Me and our industrious leader used to enjoy this show as wee-uns. But in retrospect, it is a load of old nonsense. And for years I thought Lionel Stander said:
‘I’m Max, I take care of both of them. We’re CHINEEZY!’
He actually says ‘Which ain’t easy.’

I mean you have to be fair here, Jonathan & Jennifer don't do much for the environment with their collection of vehicles tucked away, especially him and that plane he's lording it up in in the opening titles each week. As a couple, their global footprint is pretty lame. Nevertheless, all harmless fun but sadly I can't get the Sony channel where I am so I'll miss the Gordon Jackson episode. Also, The Harts ... they DO seem to suffer from a bit of 'being in the wrong place at wrong time' syndrome, in a similar vein to Jessica Fletcher and dare I say it on this here forum, Jeff Randall. They all just seem to turn up somewhere and then there's a murder to deal with. I was going to add that probably never happens to thecraftyleek, but ye know, Norn Iron is an interesting place too and I'm pretty sure TCL does a bit of amateur sleuthing Frank O'Marker style in his spare time on the odd occasion that the sun comes out.
