Dear oh lord, there is some monumental guff on this thread mias, which always has me laughing.
Is this particular item of rubbish actually in your collection?
I've seen that years ago. Don't remember anything about it, all I know is I enjoyed it. As a kid it was cool. I think it actually got an airing on terrestrial UK TV. Though equally it could have been VHS. IIRC it's a fairly decent, Australian, Mad Max rip off. Plenty of action.
How did I guess that one was coming? I just knew you would either a) own it, b) have seen it or c) know something about it.
Honestas non est optimum consilium est: consilium non solum est.
How many barracudas are this large? Obviously a 'Jaws' rip off.
I think it's supposed to be in perspective..?
The film wasn't too bad iirc, so so. I had that on VHS. The UK VHS was a much cooler cover. It had this drawing of a diver being attacked on the cover (by a normal sized barracuda), with blood everywhere and the barracuda shredding the diver. It made the film look super awesome. In fact I'm fairly sure the cover was gorier than the film
The back cover to this states 'This thriller classic from Mexico'.......
The write up on the back cover of Sudden Death is superb. I would definitely rent this movie based on that....... Had I not have looked at the front cover before hand!! What were they thinking?! Not even I would have rented that.
I use to have that VHS of The Robot vs the Aztec Mummy. It was released on DVD as part of a set with the two other Aztec Mummy films. The Robot vs the Aztec Mummy is one of best stupid movies ever made. It's so ridiculous and over the top that it ends up being entertaining if you take it as it is
Yep another fine mess. An image of a somewhat portly, constipated lookin’ Stallone, photoshopped in front of a crowd. Plus it’s not even a still from the film. . . That picture was actually taken more recently, after Stallone auditioned for Stan & Ollie and found out John C Reilly had got the part.
This dodgy cover has a hint of 'Lethal Weapon' rip off to me. Take the cover of 'Lethal Weapon', horizontal mirror image and what have you got?
Good point I hadn’t spotted that........ except........ that Sudden Death release on Media is way earlier than the Lethal Weapon one. I would say by at least 5 years! So if anything it was the other way around. Lethal Weapon actually copied that movie
