It does sound exciting. Although I can't quite see him in the role at the moment to be honest. Michael Gambon was great as Maigret and that series filmed in Budapest was excellent I thought, a difficult one to better.
I remember the Richard Harris one. That was pretty good. Watched that in 1988.
