While watching this one my first reaction was the number of well known faces that appear - Michael Brandon (Dempsey & Makepeace), Peter Guinness (Spender's boss) and Grant Masters (the guvnor in the final series of 'Thief Takers') are all recognisable from other half decent stuff.
This one centres around the kidnapping of Dr Woods (Brandon) who has been taken for his knowledge and computer hacking skills. He is forced to work under pressure from Russian rebel Vasili Lankov (Guinness) - head of the 'Skorpion' organisation, who forces Woods to obtain NATO security secrets or risk the killing of his daughter Gemma, who Lankov has also taken hostage.
This one is not a bad story and Curtis & Keel are very much working together throughout, working their way around the London suburbs to locate Gemma hoping it will lead them to Woods. There is a particularly gruesome gunfight at the end of this one which is essentially a 50 minute kidnap story with the threat of torture thrown in along the way.
Colin Wells is actually ok in this one, showing off his driving skills to fill a few extra minutes and also shows that he is pretty handy with his shooter towards the end of the story. Grant Masters' character Misha is a particularly nasty bad guy in this one with razor out.
Overall this one was single plot stuff really but top acting, full team involvement and a pretty decent ending gets this one a decent 8/10 from me.

Daley & McCann are, as good as, holding hands, on the exercise yard, in the scrubs.
