When Tania aka agent 9-6's cover is blown in Bosnia and they catch a glimpse of a wanted war criminal Radovan Pradic on a video link - Curtis, Keel & Malone head there to see what has happened. The CI5 team soon realise there is a connection between Pradic and deliveries to a British Racing team called Bluckner Racing. The owner of the team is the son of a former friend of Malone. Keel goes undercover with the team to find the connection and hopefully uncover what is being brought to the UK from from Bosnia.
Despite the 'High Speed' title, I found this ok at the start, very slow (borderline boring for the middle part) and it is not until the 10 minutes-to-go point that Malone discovers what the whole thing is about and we see a bit more action. It's not bad though, padded out in the middle with some nice racing scenes and I have to say...Lexa Doig looks fantastic in this one.
The award for the most ridiculous sounding English accent in the series so far has to go to Elkie (played by Ingeborga Dapkunaite). Her very strong Lithuanian accent and lack of ability to move her mouth makes it seem like she has been badly dubbed, which I wish she had been, as it probably would have sounded like she might be able to act.
As in 'Hostage' there is another great line from Malone in this one: ...you are travesty of a human being and I really do hope you rot in hell!
Overall, good at the start, flat in the middle with a nice action packed conclusion and I particularly liked Malone pulling rank at the end! 7/10
